He's considered by his peers as the "Forrest Grump of animation." Meaning: For the past 60 years, he has worked on every possible type of production at Walt Disney Animation Studios, practically rubbing elbows with every prominent animator in the history of animation. And every time the industry crossed a major milestone, you can sure bet he was somehow involved.

His name is Floyd Norman, and he's a bona fide Disney legend. Now, retired at age 80, Floyd is telling his remarkable life story in a new documentary that's chronicling his long career as a Disney animator and storyboard artist.

And while he'll forever go down in the history books as the very first African-American animator to have been hired by Walt Disney, it seems Floyd wants to be better remembered as an "animator," "storyman" and "troublemaker" who is determined to stand up against ageism.

Check out the trailer for "Floyd Norman: An Animated Life," which is set to screen at Comic-Con this Friday, and will hit theaters and VOD on August 26th.
