Get an inside look at the forthcoming third season of Guillermo del Toro's vampire series "The Strain," which will be premiering next month on the FX network

It's been only two weeks into the vampiric outbreak, and New York is already on the brink of losing everything to the "Strigoi." And while the vampire army is getting more organized, the remaining human survivors are preparing for a fight to the death.

Starring Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Kevin Durand, Ruta Gedmintas, Richard Sammel, Samantha Mathis, and Miguel Gomez, the FX series, which is executive produced by del Toro and Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel), will debut its third season on Sunday, August 28th.

synopsis:
The transformation has begun. It can no longer be denied -- New York City is rapidly falling to an evil epidemic, and no one is coming to its rescue. Its citizens must fight or die. Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his unlikely allies need to find a way to defeat the embodiment of this evil -- the Master -- before the infection spreads too far and becomes irreparable ... before they become monsters themselves.
