Vin Diesel will try to make the world safer for Samuel L. Jackson, as they relaunch the triple-X action franchise, in which Diesel reprises his role as a former eXtreme sports athlete who becomes an ass-kicking secret agent.

Check out the debut trailer for "xXx: Return of Xander Cage," which introduces a whole new team of unconventional operatives tasked with taking on threats that the world doesn't even know exist.

Directed by action helmer D.J. Caruso (I Am Number Four, Disturbia, Eagle Eye), the film boasts an international cast that includes Toni Collette, Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev, Chinese actor Kris Wu, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, English actress Hermione Corfield, Game of Thrones' Rory McCann, and Orange Is the New Black's Ruby Rose, with appearances by martial arts superstars Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa.

"xXx: Return of Xander Cage" will be arriving in theaters on January 20.

After a near-death experience, government agent Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) embarks on another lethal mission in this action-packed sequel to the 2002 film xXx. Cage's latest task involves locating a deadly weapon, with this help of his handler Augustus Eugene Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson).
