Anna Kendrick finds herself sitting among a circle of discarded attendees in the debut trailer for the upcoming wedding comedy "Table 19."
The "Pitch Perfect" star plays Eloise, a disregarded wedding guest who discovers she has been seated at the worst table at the wedding reception -- it's the seating section for the rejects, a.k.a. "the table of people they don't care about." After commiserating with her fellow misfits at "Table 19," Eloise quickly forms a special bond with the motley group as they try to make the best out of a miserable situation.
Also starring Craig Robinson, Lisa Kudrow, June Squibb, Tony Revolori, Stephen Merchant, and Wyatt Russell as Kendrick's ex-boyfriend who is also the groom's best man/brother, "Table 19" is directed by "The Office" and "Spellbound" helmer Jeffrey Blitz, working from a script written by Jay and Mark Duplass.
"Table 19" is due to hit theaters on January 20, 2017.
synopsis:
Ex-maid of honor Eloise (Anna Kendrick) --having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text -- decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend's wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the 'random' table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone's secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships -- and even a little romance -- can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.
