The acclaimed 2014 darkly-comic Norwegian thriller "In Order of Disappearance," which stars Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard (Thor, Good Will Hunting) as a snowplow driver who goes on a revenge spree after his son dies in a drug-related death, will be making its way to the States next month.

Also starring Kristofer Hivju (HBO's Game of Thrones) and Pal Sverre Hagen (Kon-Tiki), the crime film -- which is described by The Guardian as "a snow-blinded black comedy (with) nods to the Coens and Tarantino" -- comes from acclaimed Norwegian director Hans Petter Moland and screenwriter Kim Fupz Aakeson, who are the same writer-and-director team behind the 2010 Norwegian crime comedy "A Somewhat Gentle Man ," which also starred Skarsgard.

"In Order of Disappearance" arrives in theaters and VOD on August 26. Check out the film's newly-released U.S. trailer, above.

synopsis:
Introverted and hard-working snow plow driver Nils (Stellan Skarsgard) has just been named Citizen of The Year, when he receives news that his son has died of a heroin overdose. Disbelieving the official report, Nils soon uncovers evidence of the young man's murder -- a victim in a turf war between the local crime boss, known as "The Count," and his Serbian rivals. Armed with heavy machinery and a good dose of beginner's luck, Nils embarks upon a quest for revenge that soon escalates into a full-blown underworld gang war, with the body count spiralling ever higher and higher.
