Filmmaker Richard Linklater sits down with the editor and co-founder of "The Austin Chronicle," Louis Black, to offer a detailed analysis of his 25-year filmography, recounting old stories from the early days of his film career as a young novice working on his cult 1991 debut "Slackers" to newer anecdotes about his more recent critically acclaimed films "Boyhood" and "Everybody Wants Some!!"

Black co-directs this loving retrospective with Emmy-winning PBS documentary filmmaker Karen Bernstein.

Featuring rarely-seen archival footage and a collection of behind-the-scenes material, "Richard Linklater: Dream is Destiny," which premiered to mostly positive reviews at both this year's Sundance and SXSW, will be released in theaters and on-demand this summer, beginning August 5th.
