HBO's Insecure: Season 1 — Teaser Trailer

YouTube star Issa Rae will be offering viewers a fresh perspective and a healthy dose of self-conscious anxiety with her female-centric HBO comedy "Insecure," which has received its first trailer.

Known as the creator of the critically-acclaimed web series "The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl," Rae writes, produces, and stars in the upcoming eight-episode series, playing a somewhat nerdy organizer of an after-school program who must frequently contend with society's outdated stereotypes about how modern-day black women must look and act.

The pilot episode was written by Rae and Comedy Central host Larry Wilmore, who will be serving as a consultant on the series.

Also starring Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis and Lisa Joyce, "Insecure" will premiere sometime in the fall.
