Can globe-trotting symbologist Robert Langdon prevent a biological plague from wiping out half of the world's population? Sure, if he didn't have to deal with his damn "out of focus" memory.

In the new full-length trailer for "Inferno," the third entry in the Ron Howard-directed film series based on Dan Brown's best-selling mystery-thriller novels, Tom Hanks returns as puzzle-solving professor Robert Langdon. This time around, Langdon, while showing symptoms of short-term memory loss with strange visions, finds himself entangled in another brainteaser that involves a newly-deceased billionaire geneticist (Ben Foster), who came up with a demented plan to kill half the world's population by releasing a deadly man-made virus.

Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, Rogue One) also stars as Sienna Brooks, a doctor who helps Langdon on his mission to stop the virus from being released. Other cast members include Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan, and Sidse Babett Knudsen.

"Inferno," which was adapted by screenwriter David Koepp (Angels & Demons, Jurassic Park), will open worldwide on October 28.
