An evil board game. A creepy possessed girl. A phony psychic medium. E.T.'s Henry Thomas as a Catholic priest, and the classic 1960s song "I'm into Something Good" by Herman's Hermits playing on an old-timey record player. Hey! What else could you possibly want from a supernatural horror movie?

Check out the "jaw-dropping" trailer for the upcoming horror flick "Ouija: Origin of Evil." It's a follow-up to the 2014 film based on the Hasbro board game.

Starring Elizabeth Reaser, Annalise Basso, Lulu Wilson, and Henry Thomas, the 1965-set film centers on a Los Angeles family (a widowed mother and her two young daughters) who make a living by scamming people into thinking they can communicate with deceased relatives. However, things take a dark turn when the youngest child appears to have been contacted by an unknown spirit.

Directed by prolific horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan (Hush, Before I Wake, Oculus) from a script he wrote with his frequent collaborator Jeff Howard, "Ouija: Origin of Evil" will be hitting theaters October 21, just in time for Halloween.

synopsis:
It was never just a game. Inviting audiences again into the lore of the spirit board, Ouija: Origin of Evil tells a terrifying new tale as the follow-up to 2014's sleeper hit that opened at number one. In 1965 Los Angeles, a widowed mother and her two daughters add a new stunt to bolster their seance scam business and unwittingly invite authentic evil into their home. When the youngest daughter is overtaken by the merciless spirit, this small family confronts unthinkable fears to save her and send her possessor back to the other side.
