Jack Reacher (a.k.a. a bare-knuckle punching Tom Cruise) doesn't like being followed -- or see his military friends falsely imprisoned -- in the new "official" trailer for the upcoming sequel to the 2012 action thriller that's based on Lee Child's best-selling crime books.
Cruise is once again playing vigilante drifter Jack Reacher. And this time around, he's sharing the screen with Cobie Smulders (a.k.a. Agent Maria Hill from the "Avengers" films), who plays Major Susan Turner, the new commanding officer of the military police. When Reacher finds himself back at his old army stomping grounds, he discovers Turner has been falsely arrested for espionage. He soon launches a potentially damaging investigation to clear Turner's name. But it's not long before Reacher and Turner are forced to go on the run together.
Directed by Edward Zwick (The Last Samurai), "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" will be hitting theaters October 21st.
