All hail the king! Check out a teaser trailer for the new dystopian thriller "The White King," based on the international best-seller by Hungarian author Gyorgy Dragoman and starring Game of Thrones' Jonathan Pryce and Sunset Song's Agyness Deyn.
Marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaking couple Alex Helfrecht and Jorg Tittel, the film is set in a totalitarian society where children are sent off to train in military camps. When his father is accused of being a traitor and is taken away by authorities, 12-year-old Djata (played by newcomer Lorenzo Allchurch) takes steps to protect his incriminated mother (Deyn) as he seeks justice for his family.
Also starring Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter), Ross Partridge (Lamb), Olafur Darri Olafsson (The Last Witch Hunter) and Greta Scacchi (War & Peace), "The White King" will be making its world premiere this week at the 2016 Edinburgh International Film Festival.
