Check out the newest trailer for the upcoming surfing thriller, in which Lively takes her first steps toward self-reliance, only to be knocked off course when a massive shark suddenly decides to turn her into fish food.
Part survival thriller, part man-eating shark horror movie, "The Shallows" comes from genre director Jaume Collet-Serra (Non-Stop, Unknown, Orphan) from a screenplay by Anthony Jaswinski (Vanishing on 7th Street, Satanic).
Scheduled to open in theaters on June 29th, the film predominantly features Lively in survival mode, but also co-stars Oscar Jaenada (Cantinflas), newcomer Sedona Legge, and Brett Cullen (TV's Person of Interest).
synopsis:
In the taut thriller The Shallows, Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a great white shark and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills. It’s Jaws for a new generation.
