Yoga Hosers — Trailer

Cult filmmaker and podcast guru Kevin Smith (Clerks) certainly deserves a "cool dad" badge -- or at least, a "World's Greatest Dad" coffee mug -- as his latest comedy was pretty much conceived as a starring vehicle for both his 16-year-old daughter, Harley Quinn Smith, and her childhood best friend, Lily-Rose Depp (real-life daughter of Johnny Depp and French model-actress Vanessa Paradis).

Already setting up exclusive screenings for his fans in cities around North America this month, Smith has just unveiled the official trailer for "Yoga Hosers," which is billed as the second chapter of his planned "True North Trilogy," which began with the 2014 man-walrus horror romp "Tusk."

The Canada-set gonzo comedy finds Harley Quinn and Lily-Rose playing a couple of yoga-obsessed high school teens stuck working the night shift at a convenience store when the building is suddenly invaded by an army of one-foot-tall Nazi sausages called "Brat-Zis." (Yes, you heard that right … Nazi sausages!)

With a special appearance by comic book legend Stan Lee and Johnny Depp, who's reprising his "Tusk" role as a bizarre French-Canadian detective named Guy Lapointe, the film co-stars Justin Long, Austin Butler, Tyler Posey, Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Genesis Rodriguez, and Ralph Garman. Kevin Smith also appears as the face of the "Brat-Zis."

"Yoga Hosers," which premiered to less-than-enthusiastic reviews at this year's Sundance Film Festival, will have special screenings hosted by Smith in the months of June and July. The film will officially be released in theaters on July 29th with a VOD release to follow.

15-year-old yoga-nuts Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie love their smart phones and hate their after school job at Manitoban convenience store Eh-2-Zed. But when an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with the legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe to fight for their lives with all seven Chakras, one Warrior Pose at a time. Depp, Depp the Younger and Smith the younger are returning in the roles they created for "Tusk."
