Believe it or not, director Zack Snyder's much-hyped "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" had about 30-minutes of footage cut from the original theatrical release. Now he's putting it all back for the new R-rated "Ultimate Edition" version of the superhero blockbuster, which will be coming to Blu-Ray in a couple of weeks.

Warner Bros has released a brand-new Blu-Ray trailer, which is giving viewers a peek at what to expect from the extended cut of "Batman v Superman," which will now be running at 182 minutes (three hours and two minutes). Added additional scenes will include footage of "Hunger Games" star Jena Malone, who was originally cut from the film and has been rumored to be playing Commissioner Gordon's daughter, Barbara Gordon (a.k.a. Batgirl) -- though her character, at this point, still remains a mystery. The snippet in the trailer only reveals that Malone's character is working alongside Lois Lane (Amy Adams).

Centering on the slugfest between the Dark Knight (Ben Affleck) and the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) with appearances by Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition" will be released on Digital HD on Tuesday, June 28 before arriving on Blu-Ray on Tuesday, July 19.

From director Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) comes "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," starring Oscar winner Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters' first big-screen pairing.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.
