History's SIX: Season 1 — Teaser Trailer

Here's the first teaser trailer for History Channel's military action-drama series "SIX," which is inspired by the real-life missions of 'Seal Team 6.'

Following Seal Team 6 on a mission to rescue a former brother-in-arms from Nigerian militants, the eight-episode series was created and written by Vietnam veteran and award-winning screenwriter William Broyles Jr. (Jarhead, Cast Away, Apollo 13), who previously co-created the critically acclaimed 1988 Vietnam War-set medical series "China Beach."

Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, FX's Justified) plays the captured soldier, the team's main objective. The rest of cast includes Barry Sloane (Revenge), Kyle Schmid (Copper), Edwin Hodge (Chicago Fire), Juan Pablo Raba (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Dominic Adams (Devious Maids), Nondumiso Tembe (True Blood), and Nadine Velazquez (The League).

Lesli Linka Glatter, the three-time Emmy-nominated helmer of Showtime's "Homeland," directs the pilot episode, which is set to air in 2017 on the History channel.

synopsis:
"SIX" follows Navy SEAL Team Six, the best of the best, whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.
