It's all fun and games until someone breaks out the potato peeler. Check out the newly released green band trailer for the upcoming R-rated animated comedy "Sausage Party," which comes from the demented minds of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Superbad, This Is the End).
Set in a world where clueless supermarket food items (such as hot dogs, hot dog buns, potatoes, baby carrots, sausages, peanut butter, and the list goes on) have just learned that they've been purchased and detained inside someone's kitchen where they are to be consumed by heartless humans, the comedy is helmed by "Shrek 2" director Conrad Vernon and "Thomas & Friends" director Greg Tiernan and was written by Rogen and Goldberg.
The film features a star-studded voice cast that includes Rogen, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek.
"Sausage Party" arrives in theaters on August 12.
