The Nice Guys — New Promo: 'Retro Cartoon Spoof'

Shane Black's new '70s-set private-eye comedy "The Nice Guys," starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, will be released in theaters this weekend. But what if it was released as a groovy '70s cartoon? Ah, could you just imagine how awesome that would be?

Well, stop imagining and just feast your eyes on this strange little promo for "The Nice Guys." The clip reimagines the detective caper as a retro-cool animated series about the not-so-heroic adventures of the abominable Jackson Healy (Crowe) and the unscrupulous Holland March (Gosling). Together they form an unlikely crime-fighting team that lives by three simple rules: "fight injustice, to right that which is wrong, and to always have a pocket full of cash."

"The Nice Guys" takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Ryan Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.
