A couple of featurettes have been released for the upcoming fantasy epic "Warcraft," revealing some behind-the-scenes footage that includes some visual effects sequences done by those wizards at ILM.

"The variety and the depths of what we did for this film, as far as really complex environments, crowds, characters, compelling performances, magic, creatures that we got to create -- it's really a dream come true to be able to work on," says ILM visual effects supervisor Jeff White.

In a second featurette, filmmaker Duncan Jones (Source Code, Moon) describes "Warcraft" as a "huge-scale movie" that concerns a massive battle between orcs and humans, during which a diplomatic orc chieftain named Durotan (Toby Kebbell) has sided with his human counterpart, knight Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel). His controversial decision to fight alongside humans has pitted Durotan against his once-closest friend and ally, Orgrim (Robert Kazinsky).

Also starring Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Ben Foster, and Ben Schnetzer, "Warcraft" is based on the hugely popular video-game franchise from Blizzard Entertainment, and will open in theaters on June 10.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
