USA Network's critically acclaimed drama series "Mr. Robot," starring breakout star Rami Malek as a mentally-confused-yet-genius computer hacker, will be returning this summer for its highly anticipated second season. And the network has released the show's official "Season 2.0" trailer, giving fans an exhilarating taste of what to expect.

Created by writer-director Sam Esmail, the show's sophomore season picks up almost immediately after the first season left off: it's been three days since Elliot (Malek) and his hacker group "fsociety" have started their anti-corporation revolution. But, as it seems, every revolution "needs a leader." Enter, Golden Globe-winner Christian Slater as "Mr. Robot," who has crept back into Elliot's life -- and he wants him to take charge of the revolution's next phase.

Carly Chaikin (as Darlene), Portia Doubleday (as Angela), Martin Wallstrom (as Tyrell), Stephanie Corneliussen (as Joanna), Sunita Mani (as Trenton), and Michael Cristofer (as Phillip Price) have returned to the series. While Grace Gummer (Extant, The Newsroom) has been added to the cast, playing Dominique "Dom" DiPierro, a young, tenacious FBI agent tracking down the members of fsociety. Comedian Craig Robinson (The Office) will also make an appearance in the new season.

With Esmail directing all ten episodes, "Mr. Robot: Season 2.0" will kick off things on Wednesday, July 13th.

synopsis:
MR. ROBOT follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a young cyber-security engineer who becomes involved in the underground hacker group fsociety, after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Christian Slater). Following the events of fsociety's hack on multi-national company Evil Corp, the second season will explore the consequences of that attack as well as the illusion of control.
