After being the prime suspect during the first season of ABC's hit series "Secret & Lies," actor Ryan Phillippe will find himself once again under the gun as an American sniper who gets framed for killing the President. Check out the first trailer for "Shooter," the new fall action-drama series from the USA Network.

Produced by Mark Wahlberg, (who also starred in the 2007 film version; opposite Danny Glover), the upcoming series is based on Stephen Hunter's best-selling book and sees Phillippe as decorated sniper unit soldier Bob Lee Swagger who gets asked by his former commanding officer, Isaac Johnson (played by "House" star Omar Epps), to investigate a possible ploy to assassinate the President. Immediately after the shooting occurs, Swagger's skills lead him to the shooter's location, but he soon finds out that he's been double-crossed by Johnson. Now hunted down by the law, Swagger must prove his innocence, all the while having a bullet with Johnson's name on it.

"Shooter" is currently aiming to air sometime in the fall on the USA Network.
