Fresh from his recent stint as Robert Kardashian on FX's hit miniseries "The People v. O.J. Simpson," David Schwimmer will return to television again this year with AMC's new gritty drama "Feed the Beast." And the network has unveiled a new trailer, watch it above.

An American remake of the Danish series "Bankerot," Schwimmer stars alongside British actor Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas, 21) as two lifelong friends from the Bronx, who've chosen to use their street smarts to open their dream restaurant in their hometown.

Schwimmer plays Tommy, a grieving widower with an alcohol problem, who is trying to raise his 10-year-old son (newcomer Elijah Jacob). And Sturgess plays Dion, a talented cook and former drug addict who has just been released from prison but already finds himself in deep trouble with the local mob over an unpaid debt.

Hailing from Clyde Phillips, the executive producer of "Dexter" and "Nurse Jackie," the 10-part series also stars Michael Gladis (Mad Men), Lorenza Izzo (Knock Knock), and John Doman (FOX's Gotham).

Emmy-winning director Steve Shill (Dexter) helms the first two, hour-long episodes, which is set to premiere on Sunday, June 5th, with the second episode airing Tuesday, June 7th. The series will then continue to air on Tuesday nights on AMC.

synopsis:
Feed the Beast tells the story of Tommy (David Schwimmer) and Dion (Jim Sturgess) who are like brothers. Dion can't stay out of trouble. Tommy can't move past it. For two friends on the brink of losing everything, a dusty pipe dream of opening up an upscale restaurant in their hometown of the Bronx is all they have left to turn their lives around. Together, they take on the insanity of the New York restaurant world, and navigate its underbelly of petty criminals, corrupt officials and violent mobsters.
