Incarnate — Trailer

Aaron Eckhart has a rather odd way of performing exorcisms in the trailer for "Incarnate," a new supernatural horror thriller that appears to be a cross between "Inception" and "The Conjuring."

When an 11-year-old boy (played by "Gotham" star David Mazouz -- who oddly enough stars in another similarly themed horror film, "The Darkness," out next month) is possessed by an evil spirit, an unconventional exorcist (Eckhart) is called in to succeed where all others have failed. His methods are much different than those used by typical "religious" exorcists. Eckhart's character uses a computer system to hack into the mind of the possessed person, and appears in his-or-her subconscious to "evict the demon from the inside."

Produced by horror meister Jason Blum (Insidious, Sinister), and directed by "San Andreas" helmer Brad Peyton from a script by Ronnie Christensen (Passengers), "Incarnate" also stars "Game of Thrones" actress Carice Van Houten, Keir O'Donnell (American Sniper), Catalina Sandino Moreno (The Bridge), Emjay Anthony (Chef), and Matt Nable (Arrow).

The film will be arriving in theaters on December 2.
