Swiss Army Man — Red Band Trailer

A bearded Paul Dano is stranded on a deserted island. Good news: he has made a new friend in Daniel Radcliffe. Bad news: Radcliffe is deader than Dano's chances of getting off that island. Check out a brand-new red band trailer for the pitch-black comedy "Swiss Army Man," which has been described as "Weekend at Bernie's" meets "Cast Away," only much weirder and -- if you can believe it -- much darker.

Winner of the Directing Award at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, "Swiss Army Man" tells the fictitious friendship between a suicidal and highly imaginative castaway (Dano) and a decomposing corpse (Radcliffe) that's been washed up from the ocean. Imagine Tom Hanks' relationship with Wilson, the volleyball -- only if Wilson was actually the dead body of Daniel Radcliffe and is presently bursting with uncontainable bodily functions, like farts and boners.

The comedy is written and directed by the filmmaking team of Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, who sometimes go by the name, the "Daniels." Their directing credits include episodes of the Adult Swim comedies "NTSF:SD:SUV" and "Childrens Hospital."

"Swiss Army Man," which co-stars 10 Cloverfield Lane's Mary Elizabeth Winstead, will open in New York and Los Angeles on June 24th with a nationwide release set for July 1st.

Hank (Paul Dano), a hopeless man stranded in the wild, discovers a mysterious dead body (Daniel Radcliffe). Together the two embark on an epic journey to get home. As Hank realizes the body is the key to his survival, this once-suicidal man is forced to convince a dead body that life is worth living.
