Okay, you probably have seen Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju as the ferocious red-haired wildling warrior, Tormund Giantsbane, on HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones." Well, in this U.S. trailer for the new Norwegian medieval actioner "The Last King," Hivju is yet again playing another fearsome warrior -- only this time, he's on skis!

Also starring Pal Sverre Hagen (Kon-Tiki), Jakob Oftebro (When Animals Dream), and Ane Ulimoen Overli, the 13th-century-set film centers on two heroic guardians (played by Hivju and Oftebro) who vow to protect the orphan heir to the throne when the royal ruler of Norway is assassinated by a group of conspirators.

Due to hit theaters and iTunes/VOD on June 17th, "The Last King" is directed by Norwegian filmmaker Nils Gaup, who is best known for writing and directing the 1987 Oscar-nominated Scandinavia adventure-drama "Pathfinder."

synopsis:
Norway is ravaged by civil war, and The King's illegitimate son is guarded in deep secret. A boy half the kingdom is out to kill, and whom two men have to protect with their own lives. The Last King is the story of the escape that changed the history of Norway forever.
