Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander enters into a scandalous love affair with Dane DeHaan in the debut trailer for "Tulip Fever," the 17th-century-set costume drama that's based on Deborah Moggach's best-selling novel. The film is about the wife (Vikander) of a wealthy merchant (Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz) who secretly falls in love with a young portrait artist (DeHaan) after he's been commissioned by her husband to paint her likeness. Deception, murder, and tulip mania ensue.

Adapted for the screen by Tom Stoppard, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "Shakespeare in Love," the film boasts an all-star supporting cast that includes Judi Dench, Zach Galifianakis, Cara Delevingne, Jack O'Connell, Kevin McKidd, David Harewood, Matthew Morrison, Holliday Grainger, and Tom Hollander.

Coming soon to theaters, " Tulip Fever" is helmed by Justin Chadwick, the English director of "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom."

Set in 17th century Amsterdam, TULIP FEVER follows a married woman (Alicia Vikander) who begins a passionate affair with an artist (Dane DeHaan) hired to paint her portrait. The lovers gamble on the booming market for tulip bulbs as a way to raise money to run away together.
