The OC's Adam Brody is heading to Miami to become a big baller in the tech world in the new trailer for Crackle's latest original web series "StartUp," which also stars Martin Freeman and Edi Gathegi.
In the 10-episode dramatic series, Nick Talman (Brody), starts a new business where he sets up rural international territories with a smartphone service that replaces cash and checks with digital currency. Unfortunately for Nick, his company begins to flourish in the Caribbean Islands where a rising Haitian gang lord (Gathegi) starts using his system to somehow launder his drug money. Which eventually leads to an FBI investigation, led by a hard-nosed agent named Phil Rask (Freeman) who will stop at nothing to find justice.
Brody also produces the hour-long scripted series, which is produced, written and directed by Ben Ketai (The Forest, Crackle's Chosen).
"StartUp" is scheduled to start streaming sometime this Fall on Crackle.com.

Forced to fund a tech company with dirty money from unsuspecting places while forming ties with a dangerous, Haitian gang, the fight to build a business pales in comparison to the fight to stay alive, especially when there’s a vehement FBI agent who wields the power to make or break those he comes in contact with -- and not always for the right reasons.
