Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, and four other tough hombres are trying to dish out their own brand of six-shooter justice in the debut trailer for the all-star western shoot-'em-up "The Magnificent Seven."

Essentially a remake of a remake, the film is basically a retelling of the 1960 John Sturges-directed classic that starred Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, and Yul Brynner, which itself was a Hollywood western adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai."

The premise follows a ragtag group of seven bandits hired to protect a small village from a powerful gang of ruthless marauders.

Washington, in his first ever western, plays the team's captain, a black-hatted gunslinger named Sam Chisolm. Hawke, who is reuniting with Washington for the first time since 2007's "Training Day," plays Goodnight Robicheaux, a troubled former Civil War soldier-turned-hired sharpshooter. Meanwhile, Pratt is a smart-ass gambler and amateur explosive expert named Josh Farraday.

The rest of the "seven" includes character actor Vincent D'Onofrio (Daredevil, Jurassic World), South Korean action star Byung-hun Lee (Terminator Genisys), Mexican actor Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) and Native American actor Martin Sensmeier (Salem). Rounding out the cast are Haley Bennett (Hardcore Henry), Matt Bomer (Magic Mike) and Peter Sarsgaard (Black Mass) who's been cast as the movie's main villain.

Helmed by action director Antoine Fuqua (Olympus Has Fallen, The Equalizer, Training Day), the upcoming remake will be released in theaters this fall, slated for September 23rd.

synopsis:
With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.
