BBC has released the trailer for "The Hollow Crown: War of the Roses," a three-part follow-up to the critically acclaimed Shakespeare miniseries based on the Bard's history plays of the English Throne.

This time dramatizing Shakespeare's Henry VI: Part 1 and Part 2 and Richard III, the miniseries has Benedict Cumberbatch leading a strong ensemble cast that includes Sophie Okonedo, Judi Dench, Tom Sturridge, Hugh Bonneville, Keeley Hawes, Sally Hawkins, Philip Glenister and Michael Gambon.

Cumberbatch is playing Richard III while Okonedo is Queen Margaret; Dench is Cecily, Duchess of York; and Sturridge as Henry VI. Meanwhile, Irish actor Andrew Scott, who plays the diabolical Professor Moriarty on the Cumberbatch-starring series "Sherlock," is cast as King Louis XI of France.

Directed by award-winning theatre director Dominic Cook‎e, "The Hollow Crown: War of the Roses" will premiere on BBC TWO on Saturday, May 7th. It will also air in the States on PBS, following its UK debut.
