AMC has released a new trailer for "The Night Manager," the six-part miniseries, starring Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie, based on the best-selling espionage novel by celebrated British spy author John le Carre (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).

The critically-lauded, cloak-and-dagger miniseries, which already aired in the U.K. this past February, was adapted by "Hanna" scribe David Farr and directed by Susanne Bier, the acclaimed Danish director of the Oscar-winning foreign drama "In a Better World."

Also starring Olivia Colman, Elizabeth Debicki, Tom Hollander, and David Harewood, the six-part drama sees Hiddleston, stirring up a James Bond-like mystique, as an ex-British military soldier named Jonathan Pine, who is now working as the night manager of an exotic hotel in Cairo. Secretly recruited by British intelligence, Pine agrees to go undercover and adopt a new criminal identity. His mission is to infiltrate a major gun-running ring and bring down its leader: the cold-blooded international arms dealer, Richard Roper (Laurie), who just happens to be staying at Pine's Cairo hotel.

AMC will start airing "The Night Manager" on Tuesday nights, beginning next week on April 19th.

synopsis:
The Night Manager, a six-part miniseries premiering on Tuesday, April 19, is a contemporary interpretation of John le Carre's best-selling spy novel, which follows hotel manager Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) in his quest to bring down international arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie). Pine, a former soldier, is thrust into a world of international intrigue when he is recruited by a British intelligence officer (Olivia Colman) to infiltrate Roper’s inner circle. To get to the heart of Roper's vast empire, Pine must withstand the allure of his beautiful girlfriend Jed (Elizabeth Debicki) and the suspicious interrogations of his venal chief of staff Major Corkoran (Tom Hollander). In his quest to do the right thing, Pine must first become a criminal himself.
