Morris Chestnut will do anything to get his unborn baby back in the trailer for the new suspense thriller "When the Bough Breaks."

Chestnut (TV's Rosewood, The Perfect Guy) stars alongside Regina Hall (Barbershop: The Next Cut) as a happily married couple who have decided to have a child through the use of a female surrogate. It's only later that they discover the young mother-to-be (played by "Paper Towns" actress Jaz Sinclair) has a strange sexual obsession for Chestnut's character. And as she gets further along in the pregnancy, her obsession spirals violently out of control, veering straight into cuckoo land. It's "Fatal Attraction" meets that crazy Beyonce-starring thriller "Obsessed."

Also starring "Sons of Anarchy" actor Theo Rossi (who will be seen later in the year in Netflix's superhero series "Luke Cage"), the film is written by newcomer Jack Olsen and directed by Jon Cassar, the Emmy-winning producer-and-helmer of "24" and who had just directed the western drama " Forsaken" with Kiefer and Donald Sutherland.

"When the Bough Breaks" is hitting theaters September 9.

synopsis:
John and Laura Taylor (Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall) are a young, professional couple who desperately want a baby. After exhausting all other options, they finally hire Anna (Jaz Sinclair), the perfect woman to be their surrogate -- but as she gets further along in her pregnancy, so too does her psychotic and dangerous fixation on the husband. The couple becomes caught up in Anna's deadly game and must fight to regain control of their future before it's too late.
