The Secret Life of Pets — New Trailer

added: Tue, Apr 12th '16

Sometimes it's best not to complicate things when dealing with an irritating roommate. Or you might just end up in an even worse situation than before. That seems to be the case for Manhattan canine Max (voiced by comedian Louis C.K.) who is forced to share his living space -- and bed -- with another dog in the new trailer for "The Secret Life of Pets," the latest animated comedy from the makers of "Despicable Me."

And while Max can't see himself making nice with Duke, a brown shaggy-haired and an overly excitable dog whose voice is provided by Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet, we do see their bitter rivalry reaching a kind of stalemate when they both find themselves far from home after a mistaken encounter with animal control. Now Max and Duke must settle their differences and put their fates in the paws of a crazy bunny named Snowball (Kevin Hart) who might be their only hope of reuniting with their neighborhood friends.

Also featuring the voice talents of Jenny Slate, Albert Brooks, Ellie Kemper, Steve Coogan, Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Dana Carvey, and Bobby Moynihan, "The Secret Life of Pets" arrives in theaters on July 8th.

Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Max's life as a favorite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind when they find out that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned pets determined to take revenge on all happy-owned pets and their owners.
