Ricky Gervais and Eric Bana can't stop their lies from snowballing into a complete catastrophe in the new trailer for "Special Correspondents."

Written and directed by Gervais, the comedy, which will be premiering on Netflix this month, follows a radio war correspondent (Bana) and his radio technician sidekick (Gervais) as they fake on-air news reports while deceiving their boss (Kevin Pollak) and listeners into believing they are reporting on the war from the South American country of Ecuador. When in real life, they're actually scurrying around New York City, hiding out in an undisclosed apartment with two dim-witted and accidental co-conspirators (America Ferrera and Raul Castillo).

And according to the new trailer, it seems their lies get out of hand when it's assumed that they have gone missing and have been taken hostage by anti-American rebels. Left with no other options, the fake correspondents must do the unthinkable: they must travel to Ecuador, for real this time.

"Special Correspondents," which also stars Kelly Macdonald, Benjamin Bratt, and Vera Farmiga as Gervais' opportunistic, fame hungry wife, will be released on Netflix beginning Friday, April 29th.
