In an appearance that will make you scratch your head and say "wait, what the hell is going on here," Alec Baldwin plays a nefarious game master in the trailer for the indie sci-fi action thriller "Andron - The Black Labyrinth."

Set in a dystopian future where corporations rule the world, the film follows a group of Maze Runner-like participants who wake up to find themselves trapped inside a strange labyrinth and forced to play some sort of futuristic game -- where, apparently, Baldwin's character controls all the rules.

It stars Michelle Ryan (from the short-lived "Bionic Woman" remake series), Gale Harold (Queer as Folk), Antonia Campbell-Hughes (Albert Nobbs) and Leo Howard (Kickin' It) with special appearances by Baldwin and Danny Glover. Yes, that Danny Glover.

The film is written and directed by Italian filmmaker Francesco Cinquemani and produced by Italian producers Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, whose producing credits include the Barry Levinson-directed comedy "The Humbling" with Al Pacino. They are also the same producers who launched the new film distribution company, AMBI Pictures, and are working on a remake of Christopher Nolan's much-loved thriller "Memento."

"Andron" is expected to be released in the summer.
