Cinemax has released a new promo teaser for the upcoming horror series "Outcast," which comes from executive producer and "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman.
Based on Kirkman's comic book of the same name, the ten-episode series stars Patrick Fugit (Gone Girl, Almost Famous) as Kyle Barnes, a Southern exorcist with a troubled personal history. Kyle joins forces with an eccentric evangelist reverend (played by English actor Philip Glenister, from the acclaimed British series "Life on Mars") as they travel through the Appalachian region of the United States, investigating spine-chilling cases involving demonic possession.
The pilot episode was written by Kirkman and directed by "You're Next" and "The Guest" director Adam Wingard. The series also stars Wrenn Schmidt (Boardwalk Empire), Reg E. Cathey (House of Cards), and David Denman (13 Hours).
"Outcast" is set to premiere on Friday, June 3rd.

The series follows Kyle Barnes, (Patrick Fugit) a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a journey to find answers but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.
