Jonah Hill and Miles Teller are a couple of Miami Beach bottom-feeders who, somehow, become a pair of international gun runners in the trailer for "War Dogs," the newest film from "The Hangover" director Todd Phillips.

Based on a 2011 Rolling Stone article by journalist Guy Lawson, the film tells the unbelievable true story of David Packouz (Teller) and Efraim Diveroli (Hill), two American dropouts-turned-amateur arms dealers who got way more than they bargained for when they successfully made a $300 million deal with the Pentagon, which had them supplying an array of weapons and ammunition to American-allied Afghan forces in 2007.

Co-starring Ana de Armas, and with an appearance by Bradley Cooper, "War Dogs" will be coming to theaters on August 19.

synopsis:
Based on a true story, “War Dogs” follows two friends in their early 20s (Hill and Teller) living in Miami Beach during the Iraq War who exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts. Starting small, they begin raking in big money and are living the high life. But the pair gets in over their heads when they land a 300 million dollar deal to arm the Afghan Military -- a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people, not the least of which turns out to be the U.S. Government.
