Warner Bros. has released a new full-length trailer for "The Nice Guys," Shane Black's latest pulpy detective comedy starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe.
Set in 1977, Los Angeles, Gosling plays a second-rate private investigator who teams up with a knuckle-busting enforcer (Crowe) to search for a missing girl, only to get mixed up in a conspiracy involving the mob, hit men, disco parties,porn stars, and dirty politicians.
Black, who hasn't directed a feature film since 2013's superhero blockbuster "Iron Man 3," returns to the crime noir genre that he's previously explored with the 2005 cult film "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang."
Co-written by Black and Anthony Bagarozzi, "The Nice Guys" also stars Matt Bomer (Magic Mike), Kim Basinger (L.A. Confidential), Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers), Keith David (Platoon), Ty Simpkins (Jurassic World), Yaya DaCosta (TRON: Legacy), Beau Knapp (The Finest Hours), and newcomer Angourie Rice. The film is due to hit theaters on May 20th.
