American comic Rob Delaney and Irish comic Sharon Horgan are back with the second season of their acclaimed British romantic comedy series "Catastrophe," which is set to make its U.S. debut next month on Amazon Prime Video.

The streaming company has released the official U.S. trailer for Season 2, which offers a look at how Boston ad executive Rob (Delaney) and London schoolteacher Sharon (Horgan) are coping now that they are parents to a healthy baby girl, who may or may not resemble "Gene Wilder."

Written and created by Delaney and Horgan, the first season dealt with a one-week sexual fling between their characters, which resulted in an unplanned pregnancy and Rob's decision to move to London permanently and continue his unconventional relationship with Sharon -- despite the objections of his mother (played by Carrie Fisher). The second season appears to be focusing on Rob and Sharon's transition into parenthood while trying not to lose sight of their love for each other.

"Catastrophe: Season 2" will start streaming April 8th on Amazon Prime.

synopsis:
Times have changed for the turbulent lovers in Season 2 as their whirlwind courtship settles into the everyday of a long-term marriage and parenting. Rob and Sharon will work to maintain their love, passion and humor, but will it be enough when they’re fighting off flirtatious co-workers, post-partum depression, dysfunctional friends and crazy relatives?
