The very first trailer for director Tim Burton's new fantasy film "Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children" has been released.

Based on author Ransom Riggs' best-selling novel of the same name, the film stars Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Chris O'Dowd, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Terence Stamp, with appearances by Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson.

Butterfield, who you may remember for starring in "Hugo" and "Ender's Game," plays 16-year-old Jake Portman, who sets off on a mission to trace his family's roots, traveling to his grandfather's home country of Wales. When he learns his grandfather had been raised in a mysterious orphanage for "peculiar children," Jake finds himself entering a magical realm where children with extraordinary abilities are placed under the guardianship of the equally mysterious Miss Peregrine (played by Green, who's reteaming with Burton for the first time since "Dark Shadows").

Adapted by screenwriter Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, Kingsman: The Secret Service), "Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children" will be hitting theaters on September 30th.
