"The Lonely Island" trio Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone have teamed up with producer Judd Apatow for the upcoming mockumentary "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping," which chronicles the personal and career crisis of a Justin Bieber/Kanye West-like superstar, named Conner4Real (Samberg), who must deal with the fact that his sophomore rap album is tanking like the Titanic.

The cast also includes Sarah Silverman as Conner's publicist, Bill Hader as one of Conner's crazy roadies, Taccone as Conner's Daftpunk-like DJ, Schaffer as Conner's wood-cutting lyricist, Imogen Poots as Conner's girlfriend, Joan Cusack as Conner's cocaine-sniffing mother, and Snoop Dogg as Conner's Dogg Father.

Directed by both Taccone (MacGruber) and Schaffer (Hot Rod, The Watch) from a screenplay they co-wrote with Samberg, the film will also feature appearances by the likes of Tim Meadows, Will Forte, Will Arnett, Maya Rudolph, Martin Sheen, Seal, Usher, Pink, Carrie Underwood, Simon Cowell, and DJ Khaled.
