HBO has released the trailer for "Everything Is Copy," the upcoming documentary chronicling the life and career of the late, great screenwriter and director Nora Ephron.

Directed by Nora Ephron's son Jacob Bernstein and co-directed by newcomer Nick Hooker, the film takes a personal look at the former print columnist-turned-Oscar-nominated screenwriter of "When Harry Met Sally," "Silkwood," and "Sleepless in Seattle," which she also directed.

Ephron started her writing career as a "mail girl/researcher" at Newsweek and then a columnist for the New York Post and Esquire magazine during the '60s. It was a time when women weren't allowed to be news reporters (Ephron's early exploits in journalism have recently been dramatized in the Amazon pilot drama "Good Girls Revolt," which is currently available for streaming). After her transition into screenwriting, Ephron went on to have a successful career behind the camera, directing such comedy hits as "You've Got Mail" and "Julie & Julia."

Although many have considered her movies to be semi-autobiographical -- for instance, the main characters in "When Harry Met Sally" are said to be thinly veiled versions of Ephron and the film's director Rob Reiner, she was surprisingly very private about her bout with leukemia. Her close friends, many of whom are featured in the documentary, were unaware she was fighting the disease when she passed away in 2012.

Premiering to solid reviews at the New York Film Festival last year, "Everything Is Copy" is set to air on Monday, March 21st, exclusively on HBO.
