Rolling Stone Magazine profiles "Deadpool" fight coordinator/stunt performer Philip J. Silvera in this new behind-the-scenes video, which is offering insight into how he designed some of the incredible fight sequences in the superhero blockbuster.

Silvera, who also serves as a fight coordinator on Netflix's hit Marvel series "Daredevil" and has worked closely with Liam Neeson on four of his action movies, goes into detail on how he devises an action scene, specifically the showdown between Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Ajax (Ed Skrein), and Colossus' fight with Angel Dust (played by MMA fighter Gina Carano).

Featuring rarely-seen footage of initial fight blocking, the video also shows how the character's frame of reference and fighting skills influence the way Silvera draws out a fight sequence. "First, I'll create a concept design for the characters. And I'll try to think in terms of how they move. Then, we'll bring in a stunt double, and we'll see how it actually looks on them," Silvera explains in the above clip.

Now playing in theaters, "Deadpool" has smashed box office records since opening last month in February. It's now one of the highest-grossing R-rated movies of all-time.

Based upon Marvel Comics most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
