Scrat's inextinguishable hankering for acorns is once again getting the prehistoric critter in a heap of trouble. This time, however, Scrat appears to have triggered an out-of-this-world catastrophe.

Check out a new trailer for "Ice Age: Collision Course," the latest installment in the hit animated franchise, which follows the adventures of an unlikely trio of prehistoric animals: Manny the woolly mammoth (voiced by Ray Romano), Sid the bumbling sloth (John Leguizamo) and Diego the saber-toothed tiger (Denis Leary).

Directed by Mike Thurmeier (Ice Age: Continental Drift) and co-directed by Galen T. Chu (Surviving Sid), the film sees Manny, Sid, and Diego teaming up as they try to survive a massive (and possibly Ice Age ending) meteor shower, which was accidently brought on Scrat and his inexplicable hijinx in space.

The voice cast also includes Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, and Jennifer Lopez. While new to the franchise are Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Max Greenfield, Melissa Rauch, Nick Offerman, Neil de Grasse Tyson, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson as the yoga-loving Shangri Llama.

"Ice Age: Collision Course" arrives in theaters this summer, beginning July 22nd.

Scrat's epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World. To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, travelling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colourful new characters.
