Kill Command — Trailer

A military exercise involving highly advanced killing machines goes horribly wrong in the trailer for "Kill Command," the upcoming indie sci-fi action thriller that boasts some rather impressive visual effects.

Steven Gomez, an Emmy-winning visual effects artist who has worked on the National Geographic documentaries "Inside the Living Body," and "In the Womb: Extreme Animals," and most notably created the creature designs for Animal Planet's hit docu-fiction special "Mermaids: The Body Found," is making his feature film debut as a writer and director with "Kill Command."

Starring English actress Vanessa Kirby (Everest, Jupiter Ascending) and Danish actor Thure Lindhardt (Fast & Furious 6, Angels & Demons), the film takes place in the near future and centers on an elite unit of Marines. When the soldiers are sent to a remote island, they find themselves in a life-or-death battle against a small fleet of rogue military droids programmed with the ability to analyze and learn from their opponents.

"Kill Command" doesn't have a U.S. release date, but is scheduled to open in the U.K. on May 13th.

Kill Command is a sci-fi action thriller set in a near future, technology-reliant society that pits man against killing machines. Against this backdrop an elite army unit is helicoptered to a remote, off-the-grid island training facility. What starts out as a simple training exercise for Captain Bukes and his tight-knit unit, descends into a terrifying battle to the death, as the marines discover the island is overrun by an enemy that transcends the human concept of evil.
