Lights, camera, and accidents! Cult Spanish director Alex de la Iglesia (Witching and Bitching, The Last Circus) returns with a new raucous black comedy about the trials and tribulations of filming a New Year's TV special.

Featuring an ensemble cast of Spanish actors that include Mario Casas (The 33), Santiago Segura (Hellboy 2, Torrente Trilogy), Blanca Suarez (The Skin I Live In), Pepon Nieto, Jaime Ordonez, Carolina Bang, and singer/actor Raphael, "My Big Night" follows an anxious group of ego-bloated producers and arrogant musical performers as they prepare for a major televised extravaganza to air on New Year's Eve. When a camera crane accidently kills an uninsured extra, it sets off a series of snowballing events that threaten to derail the production for good.

Nominated for four Goya Awards (Spain's equivalent of the Oscars), "My Big Night" will be hitting theaters and VOD in April. Watch the film's U.S. trailer, above.

synopsis:
It's only October, but the network's annual black-tie New Year's Eve spectacular has already been in production for a grueling week and a half, and setbacks continue to accumulate. A falling crane has just taken out an extra, and the show's hosts are at each other's throats. Oversexed pop sensation Adan (Mario Casas) discovers two women have stolen his semen, while legendary divo Alphonso (Raphael) is stalked by an armed and unstable would-be songwriter (Jaime Ordonez). Meanwhile, just outside the studio, riot police move in as demonstrators demand the arrest of the shows corrupt producer (Santiago Segura).
