It's time to turn up the heat, for the all-star gritty cop thriller "Triple 9," which stars Casey Affleck as a newly-assigned gang unit officer who gets teamed up with a new partner (Anthony Mackie) who's on the edge of breaking the law himself.
Check out a final trailer for the film, which also stars Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Aaron Paul, Norman Reedus, Gal Gadot, Clifton Collins Jr., and Kate Winslet.
Directed by John Hillcoat ("Lawless," and "The Road") from a script by crime screenwriter Matt Cook,"Triple 9" arrives in theaters on February 26th.
synopsis:
In TRIPLE 9, a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist and the only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for "officer down." Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck action-packed finale tangled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.
