HBO has released a new teaser trailer for the forthcoming 6th Season of "Game of Thrones." And for those fans clamoring for clues -- well, sadly, there's not much footage to sift through. But the teaser will certainly raise many questions.
The clip begins with the camera coasting through the temple of the Many-faced God. Each towering column contains multiple faces of several past characters who have met their demise in prior seasons: Ned Stark (Sean Bean), Robb Stark (Richard Madden), Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), evil King Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) and, of course, Night's Watch hero Jon Snow (Kit Harington), who was brutally stabbed in the final moments of season 5.
But what are the most shocking are the dead-face reveals of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).
Is the teaser just clever marketing, or is no one truly safe in this George R.R. Martin-created world? It seems fans will have to wait just a little longer to get those answers.
"Game of Thrones: Season 6" is set to premiere on Sunday, April 24th on HBO.
