Cameron Crowe returns to his first love: rock-n'-roll.

The "Almost Famous" and "Jerry Maguire" filmmaker, who started his career as a music writer for Rolling Stone, is embarking on his first original series with "Roadies," which is also executive produced by J.J. Abrams and "My So-Called Life" creator Winnie Holzman.

Showtime has released the official trailer for the upcoming rock-n-roll series, centering on the lives of a motley group of concert technicians, known in the industry as "Roadies," who work with a famous touring rock band.

Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino and Imogen Poots are leading the show's eclectic cast, which includes Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Luis Guzman, Branscombe Richmond, Finesse Mitchell, and rapper-turned-actor Machine Gun Kelly.

"Roadies" will be premiering on Sunday, June 26th on Showtime.

synopsis:
Created by Oscar-winner Cameron Crowe, ROADIES is an insider's look at the reckless, romantic, funny, and often poignant lives of a committed group of "roadies," who live for music and the de facto family they've formed along the way. The music-infused ensemble comedy series chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music's unsung heroes and puts the spotlight on the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring the United States for a successful arena-level band.
