Kevin Bacon can't help, but to be scared of his creepy son in the trailer for "The Darkness," a new supernatural thriller from the scary folks at Blumhouse Productions.

On a family vacation at the Grand Canyon, Bacon's son, Michael (played by TV's "Gotham" star David Mazouz), stumbles on some sacred stones hidden in a cave. Naturally, Michael takes one of the rocks home with him, not knowing that it's cursed by evil spirits.

Yadda-yadda-yadda. The evil spirits gradually possess and use Michael to scare the bejesus out of his family: "we're all going to pay for what we've done."

Directed by "Wolf Creek" helmer Greg McLean and also starring Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill, Pitch Black), Lucy Fry (Vampire Academy, Mako Mermaids), and Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon a Time), "The Darkness" will open in May, on Friday the 13th.
