Joseph Cross (Milk) and Adelaide Clemens (Silent Hill: Revelation) are two long-lost (and possibly kissing) cousins in the new trailer for the tense family drama "The Automatic Hate."

Also starring Emmy-winner Richard Schiff (The West Wing), magician Ricky Jay (Boogie Nights), and Deborah Ann Woll (Netflix's Daredevil), the film revolves around two cousins, Davis Green (Cross) and Alexis Green (Clemens), who never knew each other existed. Until one day, Alexis seeks Davis out. She tells Davis that they are related, and reveals a strange family grudge between his father (Schiff ) and the uncle (Jay) he never knew he had.

But while Davis attempts to unlock the mystery of why his father and uncle hadn't spoken to one another in decades, Davis and his cousin, Alexis, develop a strong mutual attraction, which adds another layer of complexity to an already complicated and possible explosive situation.

"The Automatic Hate" is co-written and directed by Justin Lerner, who previously earned strong notices for his 2011 feature film debut "Girlfriend." The film, which premiered at last year's SXSW, is now scheduled to open in select theaters on March 11th.

synopsis:
