A new international trailer has been released for the 3D fantasy-action flick "Gods Of Egypt," which is directed by genre maestro Alex Proyas (Dark City, Crow, I Am Robot).

Starring Gerard Butler, "Game of Thrones" star Nikolai Coster-Waldau and Aussie actor Brenton Thwaites (The Giver, Maleficent), the CG-heavy film is a glitzy take on Egyptian mythology.

When the Egyptian god of darkness, Set (Butler), ruthlessly seizes control of Egypt and enslaves its people, the fate of the world lies in the hands of a young mortal man (Thwaites) who sets off on an epic journey to free the now one-eyed god Horus (Coster-Waldau) from confinement and help him reclaim his rightful throne.

Chadwick Boseman, Geoffrey Rush, Elodie Yung and Courtney Eaton round out the cast.

"Gods of Egypt" will be arriving in theaters on February 26th.

synopsis:
In this spectacular action-adventure inspired by the classic mythology of Egypt, the survival of mankind hangs in the balance as an unexpected mortal hero Bek (Brenton Thwaites) undertakes a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love. In order to succeed, he must enlist the help of the powerful god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in an unlikely alliance against Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. As their breathtaking battle against Set and his henchmen takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the epic final confrontation.
